j. Traction techniques
In this lesson you learn 3 lengthening/traction techniques (which are also mobilization techniques). In my own Neck therapy sessions I always include one or 2 traction techniques. As I noticed they have an profound effect on my clients, especially on clients who are in pain. The last technique of this lesson I always use in my massage and I finish my Neck Therapy session with that technique

Techniques:
Video 1: Full body lift
> Technique ‘full body lift’ explained + right body mechanisms
> The importance of right direction (to avoid compression)
Video 2: Traction + Twist
> Technique: ‘Traction + Twist’ explained in detail + right body mechanisms
> Points of attention while doing this technique
Video 3: ‘Lengthening’
> Technique: ‘Lengthening’ explained in detail + right body mechanisms
> The advantage of a long hold and to do this
Goal:
- Decompressing spine
- Creating a novel input to the nervous system
- Releasing tension, pain, blockages (physical/emotional) in massaged areas client
- Creating more space and freedom
Duration:
Full body lift: repeat 2 – 4 times
Traction + Twist: repeat 2 – 4 times each side
Lengthening: Hold 30 seconds – 2 minutes
